The adidas POD System 3.1 is slowly releasing in new color options as the silhouette’s extended rollout continues. This week, we have an early peek at one of the next new options arriving this season, dressing the POD in a subtly colorful look.

The adidas P.O.D. is going to turn a lot of heads on foot this year. The new silhouette utilizes design elements from multiple adidas models, creating a wild-looking sneaker with plenty of room for interesting color blocking or collaborative interpretation. The upper is constructed from multiple pieces using a varying range of materials. The forefoot of the POD System is a thin breathable knit that lines the toecap to give the wearer’s toes some room to wiggle and provide airflow. The toecap is then stitched to a larger knit piece that covers both the lateral and medial sides of the sneaker as well as the tongue. The knit is reinforced with extra layers around the heel to provide a more locked-in feel and long-term comfort. The sole of the POD 3.1 is the highlight of the shoe, utilizing the updated Point of Deflection technology for a smooth ride. The latest colorway of the new lifestyle model pits the upper in black, with Solar Red and turquoise hits for a flashy look. Subtle grey detailing around the eyelets and midsole complete the look.

The next adidas POD System 3.1 drop is expected to release sometime in Fall/Winter 2018, though no official date has been announced yet. The new multicolored scheme will retail for the usual $130 and drop from both adidas and select retailers.
