Nike is getting very creative with this new colorway of the Nike Air Max 97. If you’ve ever bought something from nike.com then you’ll be familiar with the inspiration used for this colorway.
The shoe is actually inspired by the shipping packaging used by the Swoosh. Some of the highlights that can be spotted on the shoe includea white and silver striped pull tab that serves as a nod to the two-tone tape Nike uses on their online orders, shades of brown/tan throughout the premium upper meant to resemble the shipping boxes, a large barcode placed on the translucent outsole, and a stamped “Box Certificate, Memphis TN” on the insoles. Additional features include white on the laces, midsole, and inner liner, and a gum/gold full-length Air Max unit.
No release date has been announced yet for this Air Max 97 but in the meantime enjoy the official images above and keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for updates.
