Nike is launching the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo, a running shoe inspired by the dominant Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite and 4% marathon shoes.
The shoe was designed based on feedback from Olympic gold medalist and marathoner Eliud Kipchoge, who desired a shoe with the magic of the 4%, but created for daily use. The Peg Turbo does exactly that, helping runners train for the podium every day.
“The Peg Turbo helps me get the most from my training. So that when the race arrives, I just fly,” said Kipchoge after breaking his own 40k record during a weartest in the Peg Turbo.
“The beauty of the Pegasus Turbo is the foam. It’s really light, and it absorbs all the impact from the ground. You can train comfortably without worrying. It is just what I asked for: bring the magic of my racing shoe into my training shoe.”
Some quick facts about the Nike ZoomX foam:
– It delivers 85 percent energy return — the greatest of any Nike foam.
– At 8.4 oz (men’s size 10) and 6.9 oz (women’s size 8), the Nike ZoomX foam is the lightest Nike foam to date.
