Tom Sachs and Nike have created some of the most exciting collaborations of the last decade. This fall, they are expected to continue their line of brilliance with a new silhouette, as well as a new take on the OG Mars Yard.

The Nike Mars Yard first made its debut in 2012, in collaboration with artist Tom Sachs. Since then, the sneaker has rocketed into the archives of the greatest shoes of all time. With both the original and second versions going for thousands a piece on the aftermarket, Tom Sachs and Nike are getting creative with keeping the line going. The first leak of their next project came much earlier this year and detailed a new shoe called the Mars Yard Mid. Now, it appears that Nike and Sachs have scrapped that design, and instead are working on something else called the OverShoe. Given the expected $450 retail price, the new Over Shoe will look nothing like the “Mid” mock-up we saw this year, and will most definitely feature a wealth of new technology. In addition to the new silhouette coming this Fall, Sachs’ original Mars Yard is still expected to release in kids’ sizing sometime this year.

The next Tom Sachs x Nike sneaker is still largely shrouded in mystery, though the Nike Mars Yard Over Shoe is set to release sometime in October 2018. The mock-up image and some information about the shoes have been made available thanks to leak group Py_rates, though a price and style code both have yet to be established. Check out the early look at the mid-cut sneaker below, and let us know what you think.
