Puma Debuts New Commemorative Collections With Both Def Jam And Public Enemy

The first Puma x Def Jam collection made its debut Summer of 2019. Now they’re back again for their sophomore release.

The new collection celebrates Def Jam’s 35th anniversary. It includes special iterations of the Puma Clyde ($90) and the brand’s newly relaunched Puma Sky LX ($140). The history of both sneakers further ties into Def Jam’s decades-long work in the music industry, where the label’s ground-breaking artists were known to rock PUMA on stage and in the booth.  Both models commemorate PUMA and Def Jam’s place in history complete with throwback vibes, including a Def Jam logo on the tongue.

Puma is also teaming up with Public Enemy to release new iterations of the two shoes celebrating 30 years since they released its game changing “Fear of a Black Planet” album in 1990. The collection features Chuck D’s famous “Fight the Power” verse on the side of the Puma x Public Enemy Sky LX ($140) whereas the Puma x Public Enemy Clyde ($90) has the “Fear of a Black Planet” stamped on the outsole.

The PUMA x Def Jam collection will be available in-stores and online at PUMA.com starting February 14, while the PUMA x Public Enemy collection will be available this spring. Select styles from both collections will be available in limited releases during All-Star Weekend in Chicago.
